Life Through A Lens
I’m a photographer and videographer based out of Kansas City, Missouri. Other than a quick stint in Washington D.C. I have resided in KC most of my life. The film sets and mentors I had the pleasure of working with while living here have crafted me into the artist I am today.
While studying for my Bachelors of Fine Arts from Missouri Western State University I found my love for being on production sets. The stories I had seen all of my life had finally started to be created before my eyes. Writing, directing, editing, and cinematography. I did a little bit of everything and swiftly became known as the Jack of All Trades Type. I could be thrown into any situation on a film set and I ran with it with pride. Taking all of that knowledge to my internship at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and almost completely running sets solo.
I am currently working in the broadcast journalism industry at KSHB 41 as a photojournalist. Just in my short 4 years I have been nominated for two Emmys, covered massive events including Super Bowl LVII and March Madness, and had a little fun with series like One Tank Trips. Every day throws something new my way. Honing my abilities through the lens as I create stories that impact all areas of the Kansas City community.
Very quickly I learned the importance of telling a story. Both through my filmmaking and through the world of broadcast journalism. The impact and emotions that storytelling provide to the audience is what keeps me creating and keeps me falling more and more in love with being behind the camera. My passion for all things entertainment has no bounds. Including my strong opinions of any movie you can throw at me.
